In simultaneous operations organized in 6 provinces centered in Adana against the Furkan Foundation, many people, including the foundation's founding president Alparslan Kuytul and his wife Semra Kuytul, were detained. A large-scale operation was carried out in the early hours against the Furkan Foundation in 6 provinces centered in Adana. During the operation, many people, including the foundation's founding president Alparslan Kuytul and his wife Semra Kuytul, were detained.
With simultaneous raids launched by security forces in the early hours of the morning, searches were conducted at 49 addresses. Within the scope of the investigation, the foundation's senior executives and many of its members were taken to the police station.
STATEMENT FROM MINISTER GURLEK
The official statement regarding the details of the operation was made by Minister of Justice Akin Gurlek. Minister Gurlek shared the following information about the judicial process: "A simultaneous operation was carried out at 49 addresses in 6 provinces centered in Adana; trustees were appointed to the management of 5 companies, and a decision was made to block access to 349 social media accounts determined to be conducting activities in favor of the organization within the scope of the investigation."
HE REACTED TO BEING HANDCUFFED
In the footage from the moment of the operation, the moments when Furkan Foundation Founding President Alparslan Kuytul was handcuffed were included. Reacting to being handcuffed, Kuytul used the following statements towards the security forces: "You are being very, very rude... Did the judge give a decision?"
