A three-story building collapsed in Konya yesterday evening. While three people were rescued alive from the rubble, search efforts are ongoing for the remaining two individuals. The moments of rescue for the two people saved from the debris were recorded by a camera. It was noteworthy that the first words of the person, identified as Syrian, trapped under the rubble were "Welcome, brother" to the AFAD officer.

Yesterday evening around 8:00 PM, a three-story building collapsed in the Selçuklu district of Konya.

While three people were rescued alive as a result of the hours-long efforts of the teams that arrived at the scene, search operations continue for the remaining two individuals.

The joy and happiness of the teams when they reached Muhammed Cedan (24) and Halid El Cedan (55), who were rescued alive five hours after the collapse and were identified as Syrians, were captured moment by moment by the camera.

TRIED TO BOOST MORALE

Seeing and holding the hand of one of those trapped under the rubble, the search and rescue team said, "I have your hand. With God's permission, I will get you out. Don't worry at all, okay?" trying to boost morale. When the AFAD officer then saw the other victim, he encouraged him by saying, "Hello my friend. Mashallah. With God's permission, you are here, no worries," and gave him water.

UNDER THE RUBBLE, HE SAID "WELCOME BROTHER"

Meanwhile, a Syrian victim among the rubble called out to the AFAD officer in a calm voice, saying, "Welcome brother," and then smiled. The rescue worker also warned the victims receiving water not to drink too much.

The teams are continuing their intensive efforts at the collapsed building.
