A dispute that broke out due to a dog fight in the Ayaş district of Ankara turned into a chilling attack. The father, who severely injured his neighbor by beating him with an iron bar, was arrested, while his son was released under judicial supervision. ATTACK WITH AN IRON ROD
The incident occurred on the evening of April 23 in Oltan neighborhood of Ayaş. According to claims, Tansel Gökmen's (57) dog attacked two dogs owned by neighbors N.K. and his son E.K. Angered by the situation, the father and son struck Gökmen with an iron rod.
Gökmen, who suffered a fractured skull and was diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage due to the blows to his head, was taken into intensive care observation after surgery at Etlik City Hospital.
FATHER SENT TO PRISON
Father N.K. and his son E.K., taken into custody by gendarmerie teams, were referred to the courthouse. N.K. was arrested and sent to prison, while E.K. was released under judicial supervision.
SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE EMERGES
It was learned that Gökmen's life-threatening condition still continues, and footage of the incident captured by security cameras has emerged.
