In the second hearing of the case regarding the bribery and corruption investigation into Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, a victim's allegations made an impact. The victim claimed that during the election process, Gökhan Böcek, the son of arrested and suspended Mayor Muhittin Böcek, demanded money from him. The victim stated, 'I told Muhittin Böcek that his son asked me for money. He said he knew about it and that I needed to support him.'

Detainees Muhittin Böcek and Fazlı Ateş attended the second hearing of the trial held at the Antalya 6th Heavy Penal Court.

Mehmet Okan Kaya, arrested in the investigation into the municipality's subsidiary ANSET, and Zuhal Böcek, Böcek's daughter-in-law, and Yasin Yellice, arrested within the scope of the investigation led by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, participated in the hearing via the Audio and Visual Information System (SEGBIS).

While detained defendant Mustafa Gökhan Böcek and former Antalya Provincial Police Director, non-detained defendant İlker Arslan, did not attend the hearing, most of the non-detained defendants and party lawyers were present in the courtroom.

"I SENT 900 THOUSAND LIRA AS A DEBT TO ZUHAL BÖCEK'S ACCOUNT"

Non-detained defendant Ç. G claimed that all the money he gave to Mustafa Gökhan Böcek was a loan.

The defendant, alleging he sent 900 thousand lira as debt to Zuhal Böcek's account, stated that Muhittin Böcek called him to his office and requested he take over 3 shops that belonged to him but could not be registered in his name.

Stating that he accepted the request, Ç. G said, "He then directed me to Mr. İsmail. I deposited the entire amount into a contractor's account from my personal account. Later, they contacted me again and told me how much to rent the shops for. After consultation, I was told I could rent them out for 50 thousand lira."

Muratpaşa Mayor Ümit Uysal, who attended the hearing as an aggrieved party due to O. A, who was dismissed from the police force, providing information about him to Muhittin Böcek, stated, "I am not a complainant. I reiterate my previous statements. I also do not wish to join the case."

"THE BOSS KNOWS"

Yusuf Yadoğlu, heard as a victim in the hearing, stated that Mustafa Gökhan Böcek came to him before the local elections asking for support, and he consequently paid 8.5 million lira.

Yadoğlu, reporting that Mustafa Gökhan Böcek said "The boss knows" when requesting the money, indicating his father was aware, stated, "When I reached an agreement with Muhittin Böcek regarding receiving my progress payments, I provided support through Anadolu Reklam. My payments were then made gradually."

Describing how Mustafa Gökhan Böcek later came to his office and asked for 30 million lira to buy a house for his ex-wife, Yadoğlu continued: "I asked why I should give 30 million. Gökhan said he would repay it when he sold his own apartment. So I made the payment. I did not know where his apartment was or how he would repay the debt. I asked a few times whether he had sold the apartment. I received negative responses. Shortly after, these investigations started. I did not document the 30 million lira I gave. I gave it when he committed to paying it back. I do business with the municipality. I do not want to come into conflict with the people I work with. I did not want to fall out with the municipality, nor do I want my receivables to be delayed."

Sezgin Köysüren, attending the hearing as an aggrieved party but detained within the scope of the investigation led by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, stated in his testimony via SEGBIS that he could not obtain a building permit while constructing in Güneş Neighborhood.

Köysüren, claiming that non-detained defendant S. T requested 5 of the 6 shops under the construction for Muhittin Böcek and 1 for himself, said, "Regarding payment via invoice before the 2024 local elections, I made a payment of 500 thousand lira. S. T. called and said, 'We must support, not leave him alone,' so I gave 475 thousand lira. I am filing a complaint."

"YOU NEED TO BUY A WATCH FOR MR. MUHİTTİN'S WIFE. OTHERWISE, YOU WON'T GET YOUR MONEY"

Berkan Genç, giving a statement as an aggrieved party in the hearing, stated they were in the asphalt business and operated a beach, saying, "Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General, defendant S. T, said 'You need to buy a watch for Mr. Muhittin's wife. Otherwise, you won't get your money.' We would be harmed if we couldn't receive our rightful payments. So I bought a watch; I didn't know the model or anything. They chose the Rolex watch themselves, and the invoice was issued to me. I just gave my card. I didn't know what was bought or done."

Victim Ali Altun also stated that Berkan Genç's statement was correct and alleged that S. T demanded money from them.

Mehmet Akif Kiraz stated that they applied for a occupancy permit within legal frameworks for their construction in Konyaaltı district but could not obtain it for 7-8 months, noting, "A 4+1 apartment was requested. We never met with Muhittin Böcek about this. İ. E. said he was just an intermediary. I did not meet Muhittin Böcek without T. S. There was no personal benefit for him. He delayed our file. They said it was under the mayor's orders and instructions."

"BÖCEK STATED THAT IF I DID NOT SUPPORT HIM IN THE ELECTION, I WOULD SUFFER ONCE HE WAS ELECTED"

Victim businessman Emin Hesapçıoğlu stated that Muhittin Böcek called him to his office at the Antalya Water and Wastewater Administration General Directorate 3 months before the last local elections.

Stating they met for about 20 minutes, Hesapçıoğlu said he was asked for help for the elections.

Expressing that he left without giving a positive or negative answer, Hesapçıoğlu said, "Later, Mustafa Gökhan Böcek came to me. He asked for support for the election. Muhittin Böcek summoned me to his office at the Antalya Cultural Center. When I went, I said, 'Your son is asking me for money.' Böcek stated that if I did not support him in the election, I would suffer once he was elected. He then said his son Mustafa Gökhan Böcek would come to me. He demanded 1 million lira in cash and 1 million lira in fuel card from me for election expenses. I gave them. I deal with many businesses in Antalya, and I gave the money because of the problems I thought I would face in these matters."

Hesapçıoğlu stated that his application for a fuel station near the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality was rejected on various grounds, and during this process he met with non-detained defendant S. T.

Noting that Gökhan Böcek was also present at the meeting, Hesapçıoğlu alleged, "They said, 'If you want this issue resolved, there will be some demands. If you don't meet these demands, your affairs will not be resolved as long as Muhittin Böcek is president,' and Böcek demanded a vehicle from me."

Stating that Mustafa Gökhan Böcek's sister-in-law, non-detained defendant Y. M., liked a red vehicle at his plaza, Hesapçıoğlu said he instructed his employees, "Do not sell the vehicle without receiving payment." However, Hesapçıoğlu continued: "But the municipality's construction control teams went to my fuel station and imposed penalties. Gökhan, implying that such incidents could continue, said he came to take the vehicle. I had to give the vehicle fearing my other stations would also be sealed. However, we left the debt outstanding. No payment was made. I initiated enforcement proceedings for this vehicle."

ALLEGATION: "50 THOUSAND DOLLARS DEMANDED FOR İMAMOĞLU'S FAMILY"

Hesapçıoğlu, alleging he gave money to Gökhan Böcek several more times, continued: "Mustafa Gökhan Böcek said that after the arrest of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor (Ekrem İmamoğlu), he was collecting aid for his family, and that my share was 50 thousand dollars."
