Aysun Akbaş, her mother of Yeşim Akbaş, who was found shot in the head in a police dormitory in Manisa in 2023, made a statement regarding her daughter's death. Akbaş stated that her daughter did not have any psychological issues, saying, "We went to a psychologist during her adolescence. Then she stopped. It is very absurd to say 'she committed suicide' based on past events."

Once again, Aysun Akbaş, the mother of Yeşim Akbaş (27), a beauty salon owner found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in the police housing in the Demirci district of Manisa, expressed her outrage.

"IT'S RIDICULOUS TO SAY 'SHE COMMITTED SUICIDE' BASED ON OLD RECORDS"

Speaking to Tv100 and asserting that her daughter did not commit suicide, Akbaş stated, "My daughter did not have such a psychological condition. Like every parent should, we took her to therapy during her adolescence. After a while, she stopped going because she was gaining weight. Isn't it ridiculous to say she committed suicide based on these old records? I wish every parent would take their children so that they would be normal."

Yeşim's mother, found dead in the housing, expressed her outrage again: My daughter had no psychological issues

WHAT HAPPENED?

On April 14, 2023, around 08:00, after gunshots were heard in the police housing in the Demirci district, police teams entered the room of Deputy Commissioner Doğancan Yıldız (28) and found Yeşim Akbaş shot in the head.

After the first intervention at the scene, Akbaş was taken to the hospital but unfortunately passed away.

Investigations revealed that the gun used to shoot Akbaş belonged to Deputy Commissioner Yıldız.

Yıldız, who was detained by the District Gendarmerie Command teams and released under judicial control by the court he was brought to, was re-arrested in İzmir on April 19 after the prosecutor's appeal.

During the first hearing held on March 22, Yıldız denied the charges against him, claiming that Akbaş had psychological issues and that she committed suicide, requesting his acquittal on the grounds that there was no evidence against him.

The court panel decided on Yıldız's acquittal, taking into account the principle of "the defendant benefits from doubt."
