In Istanbul's Sultanbeyli district, a 13-year-old child playing in front of a construction site sank into mud accumulated by rainfall, and his mother, who rushed to help him, also got stranded in the mud. In the incident in Necip Fazıl Neighborhood, fire crews rescued the mother and child after about an hour of work. It was learned that the two, who were taken to hospital, were in good health.

The child's mother, who wanted to rescue her child, also became stranded in the mud. The mother and child, who were rescued by fire crews arriving at the scene, were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The incident occurred around 17:00 on Habib Street in Necip Fazıl Neighborhood. According to claims, the 13-year-old child, who stepped into mud that accumulated on the road due to rainfall while playing, could not get out of the place where he was. The child's mother, who went to help her child, also became stranded in the mud. Following a report by those around, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The stranded mother and child were rescued from where they were as a result of approximately 1 hour of work by fire crews. After first aid was administered at the scene by medical teams, the mother and child were taken to the hospital by ambulance. It was learned that the injured people's health conditions were good. Police teams launched an investigation into the incident.
NEIGHBORS SAID: 4-5 MORE PEOPLE ALSO SANK
Mahir Küçükbingöl, who lives in the neighborhood, said, "One of the children jumped into the mud and sank. His mother went to rescue him, and she sank too. Fire crews also sank while trying to rescue them. Then 4-5 more people sank. Another team came and rescued them. They took them to the hospital; I heard their conditions are good."
SHE DID NOT KNOW THAT PLACE WAS A SWAMP
Çınar Kayar, who saw the incident, said, "The child, his mother, and my friend named Rüzgar jumped into the mud. The child jumped saying 'Will I sink?' When he jumped, his mother also wanted to help him. She did not know that place was a swamp; when she stepped, she sank too. The fire department came, and he went to the hospital with his mother."
