A.C.F. (40), the painter boyfriend of Yağmur Taktaş (28), known for the competition 'This Is My Style', who died in the USA and whose autopsy after exhumation revealed signs of beatings and cigarette burns on her body, has not been found yet despite an arrest warrant. Yağmur's father, Orhan Taktaş, said, 'In my dreams, she says to me, 'Dad, hasn't that murderer been caught yet?' I can no longer bear this pain.'

Yağmur Taktaş from Adana, who became famous with the television competition 'Here is My Style', passed away in the hospital she was taken to after falling ill in the USA on April 3, 2024. Taktaş, also an influencer, was buried at Kabasakal Cemetery in Adana after her body was brought by air on April 20, following an autopsy in the USA. Yağmur Taktaş's family, through their lawyers, filed a complaint against her Turkish-American painter boyfriend A.C.F., whom they claim caused her death after she was previously beaten and lost her spleen.

EXHUMATION WAS CONDUCTED 2 YEARS AGO

The Taktaş family alleged that Yağmur was introduced to drugs by her boyfriend, was detained and beaten, and was left hungry in the place where she was held. Based on this suspicion, the family applied for the exhumation of the body and an autopsy in Turkey. Upon acceptance of the application, Taktaş's body was exhumed on May 5, 2024, and taken to the morgue of the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute. Samples taken from the partially decomposed body were sent to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute.

Meanwhile, the autopsy report prepared at Columbia University in New York, following the family's application, stated that different types of drugs were found in Taktaş's body. The autopsy video also reported bruises from beatings and cigarette burn marks. Based on the conclusion that Taktaş was beaten and tortured, an arrest warrant was issued for A.C.F. by the 5th Criminal Court of Peace upon the request of the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. A.C.F., whom the Taktaş family wants to be tried in Turkey, is still being sought.

"THE PAIN OF LOSING A CHILD IS VERY HARD"

Yağmur's father, Orhan Taktaş, stated that he sees his daughter in his dreams and said, "In my dreams, she says, 'Dad, hasn't that murderer been caught yet?' I can no longer bear this pain. I wake up with a start. The pain of losing a child is very hard. Our hearts are still bleeding. I want my daughter's murderer to be caught as soon as possible."

"I HAD A CHILD, HE TOOK HER FROM US"

Mother Ayhan Taktaş, expressing that she still keeps a lock of her daughter's hair, said, "After my daughter was buried, her grave had to be reopened. This is one of the greatest pains a mother can experience. We were left alone. I had a child, and he took her from us."

"THE MURDER CLAIM IS MOST LIKELY TRUE"

Fethi Öksüz, the lawyer for the Taktaş family, stated that no concrete steps have been taken even though 2 years have passed since the incident, and said, "The murder suspect of Yağmur is walking freely in the USA. His mother is also financing him. Although an arrest warrant was issued in Turkey, no effective decision has been made regarding the individual. Yağmur was a Turkish citizen. No matter where in the country or in the world, this person should be handed over to justice. The Gülistan Doku investigation also reached some conclusions after 6 years. We do not want to wait 6 years. We don't want delayed justice to be further delayed."

Lawyer Öksüz, noting that the two autopsy reports prepared after the exhumation in the USA and Turkey are also being examined, said, "Due to the delay in the report from the USA, Turkish doctors are conducting a new study on this report. There is a confidentiality order in the case file, but the autopsy reports show us that the murder claim is most likely true. In fact, Yağmur's messages include statements like 'This man will kill me. He confiscated my passport and bag, he won't let me leave.' The report also revealed that Yağmur was beaten and her bodily integrity was damaged to the point of torture."

Öksüz, stating that they want suspect A.C.F. to be caught as soon as possible, said, "We request that Turkish and US judicial authorities cooperate and focus on solving this problem. At this point, neither the mother nor the father has the strength to endure."
