It has emerged that 35-year-old barber Murat Barışık, who was found dead together with his motorcycle in a creek bed in Bartın, was killed by gunshot. As a result of 24 hours of work by the gendarmerie, 21-year-old factory worker Ö.Ç., who lives in the same village, was identified as a suspect and taken into custody. According to the investigation, it was learned that the suspect owed the victim approximately 650 thousand lira. It is assessed that Ö.Ç. planned the murder 3 days in advance.
The death of 35-year-old barber Murat Barışık, whose lifeless body was found in the streambed in Ustaoğlu village in Bartın, turned out to be murder. The 21-year-old Ö.Ç., identified as the suspect in the incident, was taken into custody.
HE WAS FOUND IN THE STREAMBED NEXT TO HIS MOTORCYCLE
Murat Barışık, who worked as a men's hairdresser in Kozcağız town, had been found dead next to his motorcycle in a streambed in Ustaoğlu village of the Central district. Gendarmerie teams took extensive security measures at the scene. Blood traces were found on the bridge, and a bullet mark was also detected on Barışık's body. Thereupon, the Bartın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched a large-scale investigation.
CLARIFIED WITHIN 24 HOURS
Under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams carried out uninterrupted examination and follow-up work for 24 hours. As a result of the work, the incident was clarified and the suspect was identified.
CLAIM OF A 650 THOUSAND LIRA DEBT
In the research conducted within the scope of the investigation, factory worker Ö.Ç. (21), who lives in the same village as the deceased, was identified as a suspect. It was learned that there was a relationship between Ö.Ç. and Barışık based on the buying and selling of vehicles and motorcycles. It was determined that the suspect owed the deceased approximately 650 thousand lira and could not pay this debt.
IT WAS ASSESSED THAT HE HID THE GUN 3 DAYS EARLIER
According to initial examinations, it was assessed that the suspect went to the area 3 days before the incident, planning the murder, and hid his gun there. It is assessed that Ö.Ç. called Barışık to the area on the day of the incident and fired a single shot with the gun he had hidden. It was determined that the suspect then threw Barışık and his motorcycle into the stream. It was also established that he threw Barışık's mobile phone and the gun assessed to have been used in the incident into the stream.
SUSPECT TO BE REFERRED TO THE COURTHOUSE
It was learned that the suspect Ö.Ç., who was taken into custody, will be brought before the Bartın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office today after proceedings at the gendarmerie. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
