His family reported the situation to the police when they could not reach him, and a search operation was initiated by the police teams. The police began reviewing the security camera footage in the area and determined that Etiz was last seen in the Yeniköy neighborhood. The teams intensified their efforts in this area and found Mehmet Etiz's body hanging from a tree in the forest today.
