In the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa, the death of Türkan K., which was recorded as a suicide in 2023, was determined to be a murder as a result of renewed investigations. Within the scope of the investigation, two suspects were arrested, while a judicial control decision was issued for one person.

The death of Türkan K., which was considered a suicide in 2023 in the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa, was illuminated as a result of comprehensive efforts carried out by police teams.

THEY STAGED IT AS A SUICIDE

Under the coordination of the Viranşehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Şanlıurfa Provincial Police Department Homicide Bureau re-examined the case file, and crime scene investigation reports, criminal reports, forensic medicine findings, camera recordings, HTS analyses, and witness statements were reassessed.

During the examinations, contradictions were found between the suspects' statements and technical data, and strong evidence was obtained indicating that the incident may have been staged as a suicide and carried out as a premeditated murder. Among the detained suspects, İ.K. and S.K. were arrested by the judicial authorities they were brought before, while judicial control measures were applied to E.K.
