At the NATO Defense Industry Forum, NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Sekerinska announced billion-dollar projects, revealing that Turkey signed contracts worth 300 million dollars for two new satellites to be built by TÜBİTAK Space, and over 50 million dollars for Steel Dome and radar systems.

In a first in NATO history at the Defense Industry Forum, Turkey signed contracts worth a total of $350 million with ASELSAN for low-earth orbit satellite communication and early warning radar systems under the Steel Dome.

Commenting on the matter, NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Sekerinska said, "Turkey will develop two new high-resolution satellites based on the İMECE earth observation satellite. A contract worth approximately $300 million will be signed for satellites to be developed in Turkey by TÜBİTAK SPACE. Turkey also signed contracts with ASELSAN worth a total of $350 million for low-earth orbit satellite communication and early warning radar systems under the Steel Dome. These investments will strengthen Turkey's battlefield connectivity and early warning capabilities."
