Renovation work has begun at the stadium of Çorum FK, promoted to the Trendyol Süper Lig, ahead of the new season. Regarding the stadium work, Çorum FK President Savaş Balçık said, "All these preparations, innovations, and investments are for our fans, who brought us to the Super League, to watch matches in a more comfortable and modern stadium."
Arca Çorum FK, which will compete in the Super League in the new season, has initiated a comprehensive renovation process to bring the Çorum City Stadium up to Super League standards.
IT WILL BE MADE COMPLIANT WITH UEFA STANDARDS
As part of the work, the existing pitch surface will be completely removed and excavations will be made down to the heating system. Then, new generation turf will be laid and the field will be reinforced with a hybrid turf system. The hybrid turf technology aims to increase the durability of the ground and prevent the turf from lifting during matches. As part of the pitch renovation, the irrigation system will be completely replaced and a new generation irrigation infrastructure will be installed. The synthetic turf areas around the grass pitch will also be renewed, bringing the field into compliance with UEFA standards.
A SECOND SCOREBOARD WILL BE INSTALLED
Regarding the technical infrastructure, the drainage system will be overhauled, and the speaker systems will undergo maintenance. The lighting systems will also be examined in detail, and if necessary, LED technology will be adopted. As part of the arrangements to enhance fan comfort, a second scoreboard will be installed in addition to the existing one in the stadium. Broken seats in the stands will be replaced with new ones. While planning for the renovation of the dugouts continues, development projects for the VIP boxes are also under evaluation.
