The new U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, threatened Iran by stating, "Whatever happens to Israel at the hands of the Iranians will also happen to Iran at the hands of the Americans."
The newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Huckabee, visited the Western Wall (Wailing Wall). During a ceremony held in his honor, Huckabee placed a note from U.S. President Donald Trump that read "Peace for Israel" among the stone blocks.
THREAT TO IRAN
After the ceremony, Huckabee responded to questions from the press regarding the emergence of plans to attack Iran, stating, "For the Iranians, Israel is an appetizer, and the U.S. is the main course. Whatever happens to Israel at the hands of the Iranians will also happen to Iran at the hands of the Americans."
Huckabee emphasized that his country’s stance on Iran possessing nuclear weapons is clear, stating, "Iran must never have nuclear weapons."
"I HAVE SUPPORTED ISRAEL THROUGHOUT MY CAREER"
Huckabee, who identifies as an evangelical Christian and has supported Israel throughout his political career, and who supports Jewish settlements in the West Bank, responded to a question about whether he supports a two-state solution by saying, "As an ambassador, I am not a policymaker."
Huckabee stated that the relationship between the U.S. and Israel is "a deep relationship based on Jewish-Christian understanding," asserting, "People sometimes think that Israel only benefits from the U.S. The truth is that the U.S. benefits greatly from Israel."
