APPLICATIONS TO HEALTH INSTITUTIONS ARE INCREASING
The Tokat Governor's Office made a statement regarding applications to health institutions in the city center with complaints of nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea since the evening of Friday, October 9.
According to the statement, as of 08:00 on Sunday, October 11, the number of people applying to hospitals rose to 2,914. It was reported that the general health condition of 18 children who are continuing treatment and follow-up in hospitals is good, and that medical teams are closely monitoring the children.
It was stated that investigations are continuing in coordination with relevant institutions to determine the cause of the complaints.
ALL EYES ARE ON THE WATER SAMPLE RESULTS
In the governor's statement, it was reported that drinking water samples taken from different points of the city were sent to the Ankara Public Health Reference Laboratory for detailed examination. It was noted that the results are expected within 3 days.
Until the examinations are completed, citizens were asked not to use tap water for drinking or preparing food. It was recommended that these needs be met from reliable bottled drinking water.
WARNING ON PRECAUTIONS REGARDING TAP WATER
The governor's office emphasized that tap water can be used for daily needs other than drinking, but the water should not be taken orally.
