IT IS SUSPECTED THAT THE CHILDREN ATE RAT POISON PLACED IN THE HOUSE
4-year-old Selem Elyusuf passed away on the way before reaching the hospital. Thus, the number of children who died in the incident rose to 3. Rat poison was placed in the house. Meanwhile, it was learned that during the examination and measurements conducted by AFAD teams at the house, toxic gases were detected, and it was assessed that poisonings could occur as a result of the reaction of rat or similar poison with air and water. It was reported that the samples taken were also sent to Ankara for analysis. Additionally, it was learned that the mother Hazal Duho, who refused treatment due to her good condition, was also questioned by the police upon the prosecutor's instructions. In her statement, Duho mentioned that they placed rat poison in different places due to the presence of rats in their home, that the children became unwell, and that she thought the small child might have eaten the rat poison after seeing it in their hand, which led them to seek hospital care.
