NEW FORMAT IN THE EUROPA LEAGUE

In the UEFA Europa League this season, the Swiss model, just like in the Champions League, will be implemented. In the new system, the number of matches for teams will increase from 6 to 8. This means that a total of 8 matches will be played in the group stage, with 4 at home and 4 away.

36 TEAMS WILL PARTICIPATE

In the UEFA Europa League, there will be 4 pots before the draw, with 9 teams in each pot. A total of 36 teams will participate in the draw, and each team will draw 2 opponents from each pot, including their own pot. Therefore, our representatives will have drawn 2 opponents from each pot.

THE TOP 8 WILL ADVANCE

The teams that finish in the top 8 in the league will directly advance to the round of 16. The other 8 teams that will advance to the round of 16 will be determined after the play-off matches between the teams that finish between 9th and 24th place in the league.
