The arrested suspects include Narin Güran's mother Yüksel (44), brother Enes (18), uncle Fuat Güran (41), cousins Muhammet Kaya (23) and Birsen Güran (19), aunt Maşallah Güran (46), Mehmet Şevket Kaya, the husband of her aunt, and Mehmet Selim Atasoy (40), who is known to be the worker of her imprisoned uncle Salim Güran. Bahtiyar stated that the lifeless body of Narin was brought by the village headman Salim Güran and that he buried the child's body in the riverbed for 200,000 liras.
