In the Kahramankazan district of Ankara, during the terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ), which plays a significant role in the development of domestic weapon systems, 5 people were martyred and 22 others were injured, 2 of whom are in serious condition, on October 23. It was reported that one of the terrorists neutralized by the security forces, Mine Sevjin Alçiçek, who was born in İzmir, had a brother named D.A. who worked as an armed security chief at the Çiğli Municipality. D.A., who was hired during the tenure of Metin Solak, who passed away on May 1, 2011, had his employment contract terminated by the municipality. It was also revealed that Alçiçek's other sibling worked as a driver in the Social Services Department of İZENERJİ A.Ş. "WE WROTE A LETTER TO THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE"Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Cemil Tugay made statements to the press before the opening ceremony of the Selçuk Bus Station. Mayor Tugay stated that they wrote a letter to the Izmir Governor's Office regarding the brother of one of the terrorists who carried out the attack on TUSAŞ, who works at İZENERJİ A.Ş., saying, "This person started working at İZENERJİ many years ago. We have not seen any negative issues regarding him. However, since a first-degree relative is the perpetrator of such a serious terrorist attack, we put the friend on leave. We wrote a letter to the Governor's Office. We asked if there were any concerns regarding this person's employment. Depending on the response we receive from there, necessary actions will be taken." Tugay also commented on the operation of the Izmir Bus Station, which was transferred to the municipal subsidiary İZELMAN A.Ş. by the decision of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council, stating, "There is an ongoing legal process. If it concludes, then İZELMAN will either operate it themselves or, if a trusted environment is created, it may be given to a private operator. However, in any case, a comprehensive study regarding the bus station will be conducted. We are waiting for the legal process to be completed for this."
