After the fire at the perfume filling facility in Dilovası, Kocaeli, which resulted in the deaths of 7 workers, the owner of the facility, Kurtuluş Oransal, who was arrested, died of a heart attack in prison. It was reported that Oransal's heart stopped twice, and despite all the efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved.

HE SUFFERED A HEART ATTACK IN PRISON
Kurtuluş Oransal, who was detained in Kandıra Prison in connection with the explosion that killed 7 people at the perfume filling facility, collapsed and suffered a heart attack. Oransal's heart stopped, and after the initial intervention in the prison, he was transferred to the hospital. After being revived at the hospital, Oransal's heart stopped a second time. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, Oransal lost his life.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the perfume production facility located in the Mimar Sinan neighborhood of Dilovası, Kocaeli, a fire broke out on November 8 at around 09:00, resulting in the deaths of Şengül Yılmaz (55), Tuğba Taşdemir (18), Nisa Taşdemir (17), Cansu Esatoğlu (16), Esma Gikan, Hanım Gülek (52), and shift supervisor Tuncay Yıldız, while 6 others were injured.
The preliminary report prepared regarding the fire stated that ignition occurred during the transfer of ethyl alcohol to the boiler due to static electricity discharge or electrical contact, which triggered the explosion and subsequently the fire. In relation to the tragedy, 11 suspects were detained by the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch Directorate on charges of "intentional killing, intentional injury, damaging property, negligent homicide, concealing, destroying, or altering evidence," with a total of 7 people, including the owner of the facility and his son, being arrested, while 4 were released under judicial control. After the completion of the investigations, work began for the demolition of the perfume filling facility.
THE MINISTRY SUSPENDED 7 PEOPLE
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security announced that following the incident, the Provincial Director of the Social Security Institution (SGK) in Kocaeli, the Deputy Provincial Director of SGK Kocaeli, the Director of the Gebze Social Security Center, the Provincial Director of the Employment and Workforce Agency in Kocaeli, the Director of the İŞKUR Dilovası Service Center, the Branch Manager responsible for İŞKUR CİMER, and one staff member were suspended.
Dilovası Municipality also suspended Deputy Mayor Necati Temiz, Zoning Director Nizamettin Balcı, and municipal police officers Cengiz Taşdemir, Ömer Kocabay, and Tekin İlaslan.
