The container ship that ran aground meters away from the waterside mansions off Yeniköy in the Bosphorus has been rescued. Although it was claimed that one of the mansions the ship was about to hit belonged to a famous presenter, it has been learned that the actual owner is Bianka Sömer Türkmen.
The container ship named "KAPPA," which ran aground just meters from the mansions off Yeniköy in the Bosphorus, was rescued by the intervention of the Coast Safety teams. After the ship was towed, the vessel traffic, which had been suspended in both directions, was reopened. Following the narrow escape from the accident, it was claimed that one of the mansions the ship was about to hit belongs to a famous television host.
OWNER OF THE MANSION THAT HAD A NARROW ESCAPE FROM DISASTER
It was learned that the owner of the mansion that narrowly avoided disaster, contrary to claims circulating on social media, is a person named Bianka Sömer Turkmen. It was reported that as a result of the ship running aground, material damage occurred to the glass railings, tiles, and concrete section in the courtyard area of the mansion.
NOT THE FIRST BREAKDOWN OF THE "CRIMINAL RECORD" SHIP
It was revealed that the container ship, which was reported to have transported cargo from Istanbul to Izmit, had also experienced an engine failure off Kandilli in 2024, temporarily halting Bosphorus traffic at that time. Despite this past breakdown and traffic disruption, it drew attention that the same ship ran aground again during its passage through the Bosphorus.
