The attacker responsible for the school bus assault that caused a diplomatic crisis between China and Japan has been executed. The assailant had carried out a knife attack on a school bus of a Japanese school in China, resulting in the death of one Chinese person and injuring a Japanese mother and her child.

A new development has occurred regarding the knife attack on a Japanese school bus in the city of Suzhou, eastern China. According to a report by the Japanese media based on government sources, a convict named Zhou Jiasheng, who was sentenced to death for killing a Chinese bus attendant and injuring a Japanese mother and her child, has been executed.

It was reported that the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Japanese Embassy in Beijing yesterday about the execution of the death penalty.

HE HAD ATTACKED A SCHOOL BUS

In June of last year, a knife attack was carried out on a Japanese school bus in Suzhou, China. In the incident, a Japanese mother and her child were injured, while a Chinese bus attendant who tried to protect them was killed by the 52-year-old male assailant. The court sentenced the perpetrator, Zhou Jiasheng, to death in January due to the intentional nature of the attack and its significant social impact. Despite concerns that the attack may have targeted Japanese citizens, the court's decision did not include any reference to the ethnic background of the injured victims.
