Businessman Murtaza Topal (41) died and G.Ç. (30) was injured when their car hit barriers and caught fire near the Sandıklı district of Afyonkarahisar. The fire was extinguished by fire crews, and it was learned that Topal was the nephew of former deputy Salih Koca. VEHICLE HIT BARRIERS, CAUGHT FIRE
The accident occurred yesterday evening on the Başağaç ramp. The car with license plate 26 TR 005 went out of the driver's control and hit the barriers in the median. After the impact, the vehicle caught fire, and the flames quickly grew.
DRIVER DIED AT THE SCENE
Upon notification, fire, health, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the vehicle driver died at the scene, while G.Ç. (30), who was in the vehicle, was taken to the hospital injured.
IDENTITY REVEALED
During the investigation, the deceased person was identified as businessman Murtaza Topal. It was learned that Topal was the nephew of former AK Party Provincial Chairman and Member of Parliament Salih Koca.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
An investigation into the accident has been initiated by gendarmerie teams.
