When the pilot of a passenger plane that took off from Antalya to England fell ill in the air, the plane made an emergency landing at Antalya Airport. It was reported that the pilot, who vomited, was taken to the hospital, his health condition is good, and the plane continued its flight in accordance with procedures.
A passenger plane belonging to Jet2 Airlines, which took off from Antalya to fly to England, made an emergency landing at Antalya Airport after the pilot fell ill.
PILOT VOMITED ON THE PLANE
After the pilot on duty on Jet2's B737-800 type plane vomited, contact was made with the Antalya Airport Air Traffic Control Tower for an emergency landing. Following the necessary preparations, the plane landed safely at Antalya Airport.
TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
Antalya Airport Border Civil Administration Officer Suat Seyitoğlu stated that after the emergency landing request, the necessary procedures were immediately carried out and the plane landed in a controlled manner.
Seyitoğlu, noting that the pilot who fell ill was taken to the hospital after being treated by medical teams, said, "The pilot's health condition is good. The plane was also sent in accordance with the procedure."
