Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell shared information via a statement on the social media platform of the U.S.-based X company, indicating that Hegseth's plane made an emergency landing at an airport in England due to a crack in the windshield.
"THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD OF THE PLANE"
Parnell stated, "While returning to the U.S. from the NATO Defense Ministers Meeting, Hegseth's plane made an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom due to a crack in the windshield." He emphasized that the plane landed "in accordance with standard procedures" and noted that everyone on board, including Secretary Hegseth, was safe.
Secretary Hegseth participated today in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group Meeting held at NATO Headquarters in Brussels and assessed the course of the Russia-Ukraine War.
