Police intervened with university students who wanted to walk on Konur Street in Ankara. It was reported that 30 students were detained.
As a result of the police intervention in the protest action organized by university students in Ankara, 30 people were detained.
In Ankara, a demonstration was held with the slogan "Youth is standing up, walking for the future" called by students from various universities.
POLICE INTERVENTION
Students gathered on Konur Street were not allowed to march by the police. After prolonged discussions, tensions rose.
The police intervened against the students who were not allowed to walk.
30 PEOPLE DETAINED
CHP Deputy Chairperson Gamze Taşçıer announced that 30 people were detained following the police intervention.
In a post on her social media account, Taşçıer stated, "They detained 30 students who stood up for their rights and freedoms. I call on those who violate the Constitution by enforcing unlawful orders to immediately release the students."
