Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was moved to tears when he saw a photo of his late wife at the "Family, Future, and Lasting Bonds" conference, and he left the podium without giving a speech.
According to Iranian state television, Pezeshkian attended a conference titled "Family, Future, and Lasting Bonds" held in Tehran.
HE CRIED HEARTILY
Pezeşkiyan, who took the stage as a speaker, became emotional upon seeing a photo of his late wife on the screen and could not hold back his tears. Pezeşkiyan said, "It's very difficult. I'm sorry. If you allow me, I won't speak," and stepped down from the podium. It was observed that Pezeşkiyan, who took his seat, was crying heartily.
HE NEVER REMARRIED
While studying at the medical faculty, Pezeşkiyan met his wife Fatime Mecidi, who was also studying at the same school. He lost his wife and one son in a traffic accident in 1993. Pezeşkiyan, who never remarried, raised his remaining two sons and one daughter on his own.
