The first English journalist to visit CECOT (Terrorism Detention Center), known as "the world's most terrifying prison," located in El Salvador, was shocked by what he saw. The journalist shared his striking observations about the prison, describing his experience as "a corner of hell."

According to the English journalist, all the inmates in the prison stand out with their tattoos and shaved heads. These inmates, members of two ruthless gangs, MS-13 and Barrio 18, are known for the horrific crimes they have committed.

During the entry process to the prison, government officials showed evidence of the crimes committed by the inmates. The inmates, who are perpetrators of unimaginable crimes such as gang rape, torture, and brutal murders, have also terrorized the local population with acts like dismembering bodies and throwing them into the streets.

The journalist, who visited one of the 32 collective cells in section 8 of the prison, noted that approximately 100 inmates are held in each cell. He expressed that the empty and dark gazes of the inmates evoked a deep sense of discomfort in him, and he also felt a strange sense of compassion.

The journalist described the prison conditions as "inhumane." He reported that the inmates spend 23.5 hours of the day on metal bunks without mattresses, are only allowed to speak in whispers, and have no communication with the outside world.

The report also mentioned a new agreement made between U.S. President Donald Trump and the El Salvador government. According to this agreement, violent criminals and illegal immigrants from the U.S. are planned to be sent to this prison. Experts indicate that this situation could lead to serious discussions regarding international human rights.
