Public transportation fares in İzmir have increased by 25%. According to the new tariff, the full fare is now 25 TL, the fare for citizens aged 60 and over is 20 TL, and the student fare is 10 TL. The fare for teachers, which was 17.72 TL, and the price of the Student Subscription Card, which is 480 TL, remain unchanged. The new tariff will be effective starting tomorrow (April 12).

The İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) convened to discuss the update of the fare tariff applied to public transportation vehicles. With a unanimous decision, a fare increase was implemented for the public transportation fare tariff applied in ESHOT, İZULAŞ, İZTAŞIT, İZDENİZ, Metro, Tramway, and İZBAN, effective from Saturday, April 12.
FULL FARE BECAME 25 TL
A 25% increase was made in the full fare applicable in public transportation in the city center. While the full fare with İzmirim Card increased to 25 TL, the teacher fare of 17.72 TL was kept constant. The fare for citizens over 60 years old became 20 TL, and the student fare became 10 TL. There was a 12.87% increase in the 60-year fare and a 16.55% increase in the student fare. Rides for those aged 65 and over will continue to be free. There was no change in the price of the Student Subscription Card (monthly 100 rides/480 TL).
90 MINUTE APPLICATION WILL CONTINUE
Within the scope of the 90 Minute Integration System, all transfers made within 90 minutes after the first ride will continue to be free. Additionally, with the Public Transport Application valid between 05:00-07:00 and 19:00-20:00, passengers will be able to travel at a 50% discount during these hours.
