CHP Chairman Özgür Özel attended the official ceremony held at Anıtkabir on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the opening of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.
"IS ALİ KOÇ HERE?"
As Özel was leaving the ceremony, a small child asked him, "Is Ali Koç here?" Surprised by this question from the little child, Özel replied, "He might be attending the ceremonies in Istanbul."
"CHILDREN ARE TRYING TO CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAY THEY DESERVE"
Furthermore, after the ceremony, Özel took photos with the children who called out to him and signed autographs for those who wanted. Özel commented on the children's intense interest in him, saying, "Children are trying to celebrate the holiday they deserve. We want the holiday to be celebrated like a holiday for everyone. Our friends are in prison, the country is poor, and we are in a period where we cannot even protect children. I hope that the next holiday turns into a real holiday for both children and Turkey. For that, Turkey needs a hope for change. They are trying to undermine this hope that the citizens have with the judicial power they have seized. We will continue to fight and resist against this. You can see the hope, joy, and excitement of the children," he expressed.
