The referees for the matches between Fenerbahçe and French team Lille, who will face each other in the third qualifying round of the Champions League after eliminating Lugano, have been announced. The match to be played away on August 6th will be officiated by Romanian referee Istvan Kovacs, while the return match in Kadıköy on August 13th will be officiated by Spanish referee Jose Maria Sanchez.

Fenerbahçe advanced to the next round by eliminating Lugano in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round with scores of 4-3 and 2-1. The yellow-navy team will face Lille, a French Ligue 1 team, in the Champions League third qualifying round. Prior to these matches, UEFA announced the referees who will officiate the Fenerbahçe-Lille match.

ROMANIAN REFEREE AWAY

According to the statement made by UEFA, Istvan Kovacs will referee the match between Fenerbahçe and Lille, which will be played away. Mihai Marica and George Florin Neacsu will assist the Romanian referee. Horatiu Feşnic will be the fourth official in the match, while Christian Dingert from Germany will serve as VAR and Johann Pfeifer from the same country will be the AVAR.

In the rematch match between Fenerbahçe and the French team Lille, which will be played in Kadıköy, Spanish referee Jose Maria Sanchez will officiate.

WHEN ARE THE LILLE MATCHES?

Fenerbahçe will play the first match of the Champions League third qualifying round away on August 6. The rematch match of the match will be played in Istanbul on August 13. If Fenerbahçe advances in the Champions League, they will move on to the play-off round. The draw for the play-off round will be held on August 5.
