Former model Ebru Şallı filed a lawsuit claiming that she was subjected to violence and threats by her husband Uğur Akkuş, with whom she has been married for 5 years. The court ruled that Akkuş must stay away from Ebru Şallı's residence or workplace for a period of 1 month.
Former model, presenter, and Pilates instructor Ebru Şallı recently revealed on her social media account that she was subjected to violence, threats, and insults by businessman Uğur Akkuş, whom she married in 2019.
APPLIED TO THE COURT
Shallı, who stated in her post that she had not seen her husband Akkuş for 5 months, later applied to the Istanbul Family Court for protection.
PROHIBITED FROM APPROACHING EBRU ŞALLI FOR 1 MONTH
In the petition submitted to the court, Şallı expressed her concerns for her safety and stated that she was a victim of physical and psychological violence, requesting a restraining order. The court accepted her request and ruled that Uğur Akkuş should not approach the residence or workplace of his wife Ebru Şallı for 1 month.
IF HE DOES NOT COMPLY, HE WILL BE SENTENCED TO COERCIVE IMPRISONMENT
The court also ruled that Uğur Akkuş must not engage in acts of violence, threats, insults, humiliation, or derogatory behavior towards Şallı, must not disturb her through communication tools, and if he violates the order, he could face coercive imprisonment for a period of 3 to 10 days.
