As a result of heavy rainfall in the Altınordu district of Ordu, a retaining wall of a building collapsed. While the building was being evacuated, teams started working at the scene.

A work is being carried out on the street where an apartment building was evacuated due to the collapse of a retaining wall in Altınordu district of Ordu.

Due to the intermittent heavy rain in Şahincili neighborhood of the district, the retaining wall of an apartment building with 10 flats collapsed yesterday. In the incident where the wall fell into the garden of another apartment building, the hazelnuts spread on the ground by a producer for drying were damaged.

THE APARTMENT WAS EVACUATED

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality teams and Altınordu Municipality teams, who were dispatched to the area upon notification, took security measures in the surrounding area. After the examination by AFAD, the evacuated apartment was sealed. The expert teams that arrived in the area continue their examinations for the reconstruction of the wall and the removal of the debris. After the examinations, the debris removal process will start according to the report to be prepared.

Sezgin Güzelordu, the headman of Şahincili neighborhood, told AA correspondent that the retaining wall of the building on 599th Street collapsed, and they found consolation in the fact that there were no casualties or injuries. Güzelordu stated that the residents of the building who evacuated their homes went to their relatives' houses or their houses in the villages. He stated that entry to the houses is prohibited and that the teams are working to alleviate the grievances of the citizens, expressing their hope that the work will be completed as soon as possible.

Nehir Medine Taşçı, a 10-year-old girl who was on the balcony at the time of the collapse of the retaining wall, said that the wall fell into the garden of their site with a loud noise and said, "We usually played games where the wall fell. But we were at home at that time. We were very scared."
