The retired police officer shot and killed his brother with a gun.

In the Sapanca district of Sakarya, a retired police officer shot and killed his brother during an argument. The suspect, who reported that he had shot his brother, surrendered to the gendarmerie teams that arrived at the scene. According to the information obtained, retired police officer İ.D. (62) allegedly started an argument with his brother İsa Demir (53) over a piece of land on Sakarya Street in Hacımercan Neighborhood. In the incident, which escalated, İ.D. shot his brother with his service pistol. The individual then called the 112 Emergency Call Center to report the situation.

AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE INCIDENT

Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. The health teams that arrived at the scene determined that İsa Demir had lost his life, while the suspect İ.D. surrendered to the gendarmerie teams. After the examinations conducted at the scene, İsa Demir's body was sent to the Sakarya Training and Research Hospital Corucuk Preliminary Autopsy Center.

An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
