A tradesman who decided to close the shop he had run for 13 years claimed, in a note he hung on the window of his business, that his brother-in-law had defrauded him of 890,000 TL. The tradesman, who alleged that his brother-in-law had fled to Poland with his wife, rebelled against what he had been through and announced that he would leave Istanbul and settle in Sivas.
A shopkeeper who decided to close the shop he had run for 13 years claimed, in a notice he hung on the window of his business, that he had been defrauded of 890,000 TL by his brother-in-law. Holding his brother-in-law and his family responsible for what happened, the shopkeeper announced that he would move to Sivas after losing his money.
"I HAD TO CLOSE THE SHOP I HAD BEEN RUNNING FOR 13 YEARS"
The shopkeeper, who hung a notice titled "I am closing my shop" on the window of his business, explained the reason for closing his 13-year-old business.
In his notice, the shopkeeper used the words "Unfortunately, I had to close the shop I had been running for 13 years. The reason is my brother-in-law who defrauded me," and blamed his brother-in-law.
"HE DEFRAUDED ME OF 890,000 LIRA AND FLED TO POLAND"
The shopkeeper, who alleged that his brother-in-law defrauded him of approximately 890,000 TL, claimed that the person in question went to Poland with his wife.
In his notice, the shopkeeper made serious accusations against his brother-in-law and some family members, and also listed the names of the people he claimed had defrauded him. He also included address information in Kayışdağı Neighborhood of Ataşehir.
"I AM SETTLING IN SIVAS"
After closing his shop, the shopkeeper, who stated that he would leave Istanbul, also bade farewell to the residents of the neighborhood.
In his notice, he included the statements, "I am settling in Sivas. I have nothing to give; I have forgiven my receivables. I forgive all my neighbors my rights; you forgive me too."
The business owner, who introduced himself as "the shopkeeper of your neighborhood," completed his announcement with his name. It is not known whether an official investigation is being conducted regarding the shopkeeper's fraud allegations against his brother-in-law.
