An unfortunate incident at a house party in northern Russia has caused great sorrow in the community. The host showed his guests a newly acquired rifle, and the group, who had been drinking, began to joke around with the weapon. However, the joke quickly turned into a tragedy.

The incident in northern Russia caused deep sorrow in the community. 32-year-old Anastasia Barbakar, a mother of two, lost her life in an unfortunate event at a house party.
At the house party held on the evening of January 25, the host Vladislav (34) showed his guests the new rifle he had acquired. The intoxicated group began to joke around with the gun. However, the joke quickly turned into a tragedy. Believing the gun was unloaded, Anastasia placed the barrel against her forehead and asked her friend to pull the trigger. Vladislav, also believing the gun was empty, pulled the trigger.
The severely injured mother was immediately taken to a hospital in Koryazhma. However, despite all the doctors' efforts, Anastasia passed away on January 30. She never regained consciousness during her two-day struggle for life.
Alexey Barbakar, who lost his wife, tearfully said: "Nastya was a wonderful person. She was a great mother to our two daughters. She was always cheerful, positive, and full of love. She was a social person loved by everyone. I can only say good things about her."
The police initially detained Vladislav for causing death by negligence. However, the prosecution announced that the charge would be changed to manslaughter.
Experts emphasize that air rifles should not be considered toys. These weapons can be as effective as a .44 Magnum pistol at close range. Warnings are being made against joking with guns, especially in alcoholic environments.
This tragic incident once again highlighted how dangerous it can be to joke with firearms and behave uncontrollably in alcoholic settings.
