Conversations have emerged regarding irregular egg retrieval practices at a private obstetrics clinic in Istanbul and the sale of these eggs at IVF centers abroad. In the ongoing investigation, it was revealed that an official stated, "The fee determines the number of healthy eggs you retrieve." When the victim asked for the company's name, the suspect responded, "An American company."
A network in Istanbul Ataşehir has been revealed to be buying women's eggs for money. It was determined that the eggs taken from women were sold in the USA. Women in need of money were promised payments ranging from 20,000 to 40,000 lira. Conversations between the company official and the woman who filed the complaint have emerged in the case where illegal egg harvesting was conducted and sales were made at overseas IVF centers.
"MY SISTER IS THE REAL VICTIM"
The woman who reported the scandal to CIMER stated that the incident occurred about 1.5 years ago and that her sister is the real victim, saying, "I did what I had to do by filing a complaint with the Ministry of Health through CIMER. Everything is exactly as I wrote in my complaint. I hope the hospital has been closed as well."
"THEY TRIED TO GET INTO HER HEAD"
The whistleblower woman, who said the offer was made to her sister via WhatsApp and that she intervened, stated, "My sister was a student. They tried to get into her head during a time when she needed money, they deceived her. They said, 'It's legal' and so on. I intervened when I found out."
HERE ARE THE MESSAGES
Details of the horrifying messages sent by individuals running an illegal organization to young women have been uncovered.
In the messages, the suspect was seen saying, "The fee is always determined by the number of healthy eggs you produce. Wherever the patient is, you go there. If you are selected for a patient in Tbilisi, you go to Tbilisi. If it's from Cyprus, you go to Cyprus; if it's from Tirana, you go to Tirana."
"MEDICATIONS 30 THOUSAND, TESTS 1000 EURO"
When the young woman asked which company was carrying out these procedures, the suspect replied, "An American company. Unfortunately, we can't provide very detailed information. Who referred you? You need to be clear, dear. The medications used are 30 thousand TL, and the tests conducted are 1000 euros. There would be serious damage. In fact, I would say if you back out now, they might not want you again. The same situation could arise again; they wouldn't want to take that risk." These moments shocked many.
WHAT HAPPENED?
A woman who reported through CIMER stated that the clinic was engaged in illegal egg sales. Young women were given hormone and egg-boosting medications under the guise of "general check-up, examination, or egg freezing." Women who used this medication for two weeks were sent abroad, and their eggs were sold to IVF centers in hospitals there.
MONEY CLAIM
It was claimed that women would be paid according to the number of mature eggs, and offers of money ranging from 20,000 to 40,000 lira were made.
