It was stated that the beggar who made headlines in Turkey with the 10,780 liras he collected in one day in Elazığ does not accept the loose change given to him and only accepts paper money.
The secret of the beggar who made headlines in Turkey with the large amount of money he collected in one day has been revealed.
Yesterday in Elazig, the police and municipal teams carried out an operation against beggars together. As a result of the operations, beggars who preferred especially mosque entrances and areas where people gather were individually caught. The beggars caught by the police were taken to the municipal control point for a search. During the search, one beggar was found to have 10,780 Turkish liras on him. After counting the money found on the beggar, the police confiscated it and took legal action against the beggars according to the misdemeanor law. It was learned that the beggar collected 10,780 liras in one day.
"HE THREW THE COINS AT US BECAUSE HE DIDN'T LIKE THEM"
Muhammet Dalgakıran, one of the citizens who stated that he had seen the old man begging before, said, "The mentioned person had come to the workplace where I used to work several times before. There were even days when he didn't like the coins we gave him and threw the money he received at us. As far as we have seen on social media, they say that the person is not a beggar and that he is mentally stable, but I don't know if that's the case. However, he had come to our workplace several times before. He had come here before and asked for money several times. We have also seen him begging on the street. We would prefer him to be in need rather than a beggar, but there are many people like him on the streets. Our people also provide support to them out of conscience by giving them money. As a suggestion, I think we should reduce or stop giving them money. If these things don't happen, such incidents will not occur automatically."
