The secret behind US President Donald Trump's choice of the Marriott Hotel in Söğütözü for his stay during the NATO Summit in Ankara has been revealed. It is claimed that there is a secret tunnel, known to very few, running underground between the hotel and the new US Embassy building.

According to Altaylı's claims, based on reliable sources, there is a secret underground passage connecting the hotel to the new US Embassy compound located directly opposite.
Thanks to this strategic tunnel, high-level officials and heads of state staying at the hotel can pass directly to the embassy building without having to step outside or face potential street security risks. It is stated that the biggest factor in US President Trump and his large security team choosing this location as their accommodation center in Ankara is this underground connection, known only to a very few people.

In his article on his personal website, Fatih Altaylı conveyed the secret tunnel claim with these striking words:
"During the times I worked in Ankara, not too long ago, in the early 1990s, there were only two or three hotels to stay at: Büyük Ankara, Stad, Etap. Ankara Hilton had just been completed, Ankara Sheraton was still a project. There were no housing estates. Mesa Koru site had just been built, but it was considered far because it was 15 kilometers from the city center, and no one wanted to go there. Now, especially in the Söğütözü area, dozens of luxury hotels are rising. American President Trump is also staying at a hotel in this area, the Ankara Marriott Hotel. On my last visit to Ankara, I also chose to stay at this hotel because we needed to go to the US Embassy, and this hotel is right across from the US Embassy. According to information from very reliable sources, there is a 'tunnel' between the Ankara Marriott Hotel and the US Embassy directly opposite.
