Sharp Fluctuations Continue in Cryptocurrency Markets
After a calm weekend, the cryptocurrency markets experienced a major shock on Monday. The flagship of the market, Bitcoin, lost about seven thousand dollars in value within an hour, while altcoins were heavily affected by this decline.

The cryptocurrency, which exhibited a volatile trend during and after Donald Trump's inauguration speech, corrected after Trump did not mention cryptocurrencies in his speech, but maintained its position above 100 thousand dollars. Bitcoin, which rose to 107 thousand dollars during the week, finished the weekend at around 105 thousand dollars.
With the opening of the Asian markets, Bitcoin experienced a sharp decline, falling below 98 thousand dollars within a few hours, causing millions of dollars in positions to close. Although Bitcoin has risen to the 99 thousand dollar level, it continues to experience a daily loss of 5%. The total market value of Bitcoin has decreased to 1.96 trillion dollars, and its market dominance has risen above 56%.
Ethereum fell below 3,100 dollars with a 7% decline, while XRP dropped from 3 dollars to 2.8 dollars. Popular cryptocurrencies such as Solana, Dogecoin, Cardano, Chainlink, Avalanche, Stellar, and SUI experienced double-digit losses. Altcoins like VIRTUAL, XCN, SOS, RAY, PEPE, OP, and BONK lost value by up to 20%.
The total value of the cryptocurrency market decreased by over 250 billion dollars in the last 24 hours, falling to 3.5 trillion dollars, the lowest level in the past week.
