The images of the ship Tuğberk İmamoğlu, which sank after colliding with the MT Alsu tanker off the coast of Silivri on September 2, were recorded at a depth of 720 meters using an ROV. It was stated that the ship, whose location was determined by TCG Akın, had its name clearly visible in the images on the seabed. Teams from numerous institutions, 18 surface elements, 5 helicopters, 2 UAVs, and 1 aircraft are participating in the search and rescue efforts for the vessel, which had 10 crew members on board.
The "Tuğberk İmamoğlu" vessel, which sank after a collision between two Turkish-flagged commercial ships off the coast of Silivri and whose location was detected yesterday at a depth of 720 meters by the "TCG Akın," has been imaged with a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV).
SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS CONTINUE
In the Sea of Marmara, search and rescue efforts initiated after the collision on September 2 between the vessels "MT Alsu" and "Tuğberk İmamoğlu," and the sinking of the "Tuğberk İmamoğlu" with its 10-person crew, are being joined by numerous institutions and organizations, including primarily the Naval Forces, Coast Guard, Coastal Safety, AFAD, and the Red Crescent.
The operations involve 18 floating elements, 5 helicopters, 2 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1 aircraft, as well as the TCG Akın, a rescue and salvage ship of the Naval Forces Command conducting underwater searches.

Yesterday, underwater images of the "Tuğberk İmamoğlu" vessel, whose location was detected by "TCG Akın" approximately 18 nautical miles off Silivri at a depth of 720 meters, were recorded by a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV).
It was determined that the name of the vessel resting on the seabed was clearly visible in the images.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The empty tanker "MT Alsu," sailing from Kocaeli to Aliağa, and the dry cargo ship "Tuğberk İmamoğlu," carrying 4199 tons of coiled sheet from Iskenderun to Karadeniz Ereğli, collided at approximately 03:00 on September 2, 18 nautical miles (35 kilometers) south of the Silivri coast, and the ship "Tuğberk İmamoğlu" with its 10-person crew sank.
