The National Women's Volleyball Team advanced to the final by defeating Serbia 3-0 in the semifinals of the 2026 CEV European Championship. In the match played in Istanbul, the reigning European champions, the Sultans of the Net, who did not concede a set to their opponent, will face the winner of the Poland-Italy matchup in the final to win the trophy once again.
The Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team secured its place in the final at the 2026 CEV Trendyol Women's European Championship. The Sultans of the Net defeated Serbia 3-0 in the semifinal to advance to the championship match.
In the match played at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul, the crescent-star team displayed a dominant performance from start to finish.
WE EASILY WON THE FIRST TWO SETS
The Sultans of the Net started the match effectively, winning the first set 25-20 to take a 1-0 lead against Serbia. Turkey did not lose control in the second set either, imposing its superiority over its opponent. The crescent-star team won this set 25-19, bringing the score to 2-0.
TO THE FINAL WITHOUT GIVING A SET TO SERBIA
Continuing their dominance in the third set, the Sultans of the Net won the set 25-20 and claimed a 3-0 victory in the match. With this result, Turkey, the reigning European champion, advanced to the final without giving a single set to Serbia, reaching the final hurdle on its path to winning the trophy once again.

HOW DID THE SULTANS OF THE NET REACH THE FINAL?
Turkey won 4 of its 5 matches in Group A played in Istanbul, suffering one defeat. The Sultans of the Net, who defeated Azerbaijan 3-0 in the Round of 16, then beat Germany 3-1 in the quarterfinal to advance to the semifinal. Passing the Serbia hurdle without a loss, the crescent-star team thus secured its ticket to the final at the European Championship.

In the other semifinal of the 2026 CEV European Championship, Poland will face Italy at 19:00. The Sultans of the Net will compete for the European championship in the final to be played in Istanbul on Sunday, September 6, against the winner of the Poland-Italy match.
