A 17-year-old youth was seriously injured after falling 8 meters when he lost his balance stepping into a freight elevator at a furniture factory in İnegöl district of Bursa, failing to notice the cabin was not at the floor level. An investigation has been launched into the incident as the youth fights for his life in the hospital.
In a furniture factory located in the Kalburt area of Cerrah Neighborhood in İnegöl district of Bursa, around 22:00, it is alleged that; Fırat S. (17) went to the factory to visit a relative who is the owner of the workplace and went up to the third floor.
FELL INTO THE ELEVATOR SHAFT
Heading towards the freight elevator, Fırat S. lost his balance as he stepped forward because the cabin was not on the floor, and fell approximately 8 meters down. Fırat S., who fell onto the elevator located on the ground floor, was seriously injured. Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene.
FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE IN THE HOSPITAL
The injured person was removed from where he was found through the efforts of the teams and taken by ambulance to İnegöl State Hospital. It was learned that Fırat S., who was taken into treatment at the hospital, has fractures in various parts of his body and is in critical condition. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
