Oleg Cassini abruptly withdrew from Turkey, where it had been operating for 14 years. Nine employees working at the brand's store in Adana stated that they were victims because they had not received approximately 5 million TL in compensation and their outstanding salaries.
The world-famous wedding dress brand Oleg Cassini expanded its reach in Turkey by opening a store in Adana in 2017. The brand operated in the country for 14 years and in Adana for 8 years. Oleg Cassini announced on October 13 that it has completely terminated its operations in Turkey.
In a message published on the brand's Turkish accounts, it was stated, "As we conclude our operations in Turkey, we extend our heartfelt thanks for every moment of the 14 years we spent with you. We are grateful for including our brand in your most special days."
SALARIES AND COMPENSATIONS OF EMPLOYEES REMAINED
Following the brand's withdrawal, 9 employees at the Adana store were left unemployed and experienced hardship as they could not receive their compensations and accumulated salaries.
"WE WERE LEFT IN THE LURCH"
Hande Zırtlan, the manager of the store in Adana, explained the process, saying, "They withdrew from Turkey on October 13, 2025. All employees in all stores, including this one, were laid off. They withdrew without leaving a position for employees to claim their rights. The company representative is abroad and says there is nothing that can be done at the moment when we express ourselves. There is no official in Turkey. We were completely dependent on a foreign company. Investors continue their operations abroad. While everyone continues their commercial life, we have been completely left in the lurch in this position in Turkey," she said.
"WE COULD NOT RECEIVE OUR RIGHTS, THEY LEFT US IN THE LURCH"
Gamze Alişan, an employee at the store, stated, "I have been working at this company since 2017. They closed our store in one day without giving us any information. Naturally, we have payments and they left us in the lurch along with our debts. We are very victimized as all employees in Turkey, including 9 people at the Adana store. We could not receive our compensation rights. We demand our voices to be heard and our rights to be paid. We have given 10 years of our lives to this company. As employees of the Adana store, we have about 5 million lira owed to us. When calculated across the entire company, this amount is much larger. Our company has never been in a bad situation. We were the ones making the sales here. We really contributed to this place, but we could not receive our rights," she said.
