It was stated that there is no report from a private laboratory in the file, and the only examination was conducted by the Forensic Medicine Institution.
The following statements were included in the announcement made by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office:
"Our Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation numbered 2025/265190 by the Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau;
Article 190 of the Turkish Penal Code facilitates the use of narcotic or stimulant substances; providing private places, equipment, or materials, taking measures to make it difficult for users to be caught,
Purchasing, accepting, or possessing narcotic or stimulant substances for use, or being suspected of the crime of using narcotic or stimulant substances, it has been observed that news has emerged from certain press publications and social media accounts stating that "the private laboratory examination results came out clean" regarding the biological material examination results of the aforementioned suspect Saadettin SARAN; however, there is no expert report available in the investigation file that has reached any party.
The only report regarding the biological material examination of the suspect in the investigation file is the report prepared by the Forensic Medicine Institution, which is a legal and official expert. The investigation is continuing with confidentiality and diligence."
