In the investigation regarding 'terror' and 'corruption' against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) and President Ekrem İmamoğlu, the statement given by Ali Nuhoğlu, from whom 1.3 million dollars was seized in his office, has emerged. Nuhoğlu stated, "I opened the safe containing the money in my company myself and showed it to the police," and he mentioned that he did not obtain the contracts from the Metropolitan Municipality due to any personal acquaintance.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting two separate investigations regarding allegations of terrorism and corruption against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and President Ekrem İmamoğlu. As part of the investigation, the statement given by Ali Nuhoğlu, from whom 1 million 300 thousand dollars was seized in his office, has emerged.
HE STATED THAT THERE WAS 3 MILLION LIRA AND ABOUT 150 THOUSAND DOLLARS IN HIS BANK ACCOUNT, BUT THE HOUSE HE LIVES IN IS RENTED
The statement given by the suspect Nuhoğlu at the Financial Crimes Department has come to light. Suspect Nuhoğlu stated that his monthly income is 500 thousand lira and mentioned that he has tea gardens in Trabzon inherited from his grandfather when asked about his assets. In his statement, Nuhoğlu said, 'I have approximately 3 million lira and about 150 thousand dollars in my bank accounts. There may also be a large amount of money as commercial activity through my companies. The vehicle I use is in the name of the company, and the house I live in is rented.'

Nuhoğlu was asked whether he knows Ekrem İmamoğlu, to which he replied, 'I know him personally. I do not have any close relationship or friendship with him like a family meeting, but we meet for visits during holidays or special days. There are tenders my companies received from the Metropolitan Municipality, but I did not receive these tenders due to any personal acquaintance. My companies received these tenders because they deserved them.'
15 MILLION LIRA IN CASH, 1 VILLA, AND 87 MILLION LIRA CURRENCY DIFFERENCE
Nuhoğlu was asked, 'Please explain in detail the process of transferring your company to İmamoğlu İnşaat Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. How much did you transfer the company for, and how did you receive the payment arising from the transfer?' Nuhoğlu stated that during the transfer process, they made their initial contracts with 15 million lira in cash, 1 villa, and 87 million lira in currency difference.

In his statement, Ali Nuhoğlu was shown a schema and asked, "Please explain in detail regarding the findings made above." In response, Nuhoğlu stated, "I have no knowledge or interest regarding the property mentioned above that İmamoğlu İnşaat has acquired."
