The statement of Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat has emerged! Three fundamental questions were raised.

As part of the investigation into the alleged criminal organization led by 'Aziz İhsan Aktaş' in Istanbul, 40 suspects, including Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat, were detained on the charge of 'manipulating a tender.' After a 4-day detention period, they were brought to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan this morning at 09:00 after undergoing a health check.

THE INTERROGATION LASTED ABOUT 10 HOURS

The process of taking statements from the 40 individuals, including Rıza Akpolat, began at 10:30. Rıza Akpolat's statement, added to the end of the list, started to be taken at 17:50. One Chief Public Prosecutor and 9 Public Prosecutors were assigned to take the statements of the suspects.

Rıza Akpolat, who stayed inside for about an hour and a half, left the prosecutor's office around 19:25. It was observed that Akpolat greeted those waiting in the courthouse corridor, and the waiting individuals responded to the greeting with applause.

HIS STATEMENT HAS BEEN REVEALED

Rıza Akpolat's statement has also been revealed. Three main questions were directed to Akpolat. The first was whether the appointments of personnel named Ferhat Tuçi and Leyla Türkyaşar were made at the request of Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who is alleged to be the leader of the criminal organization. In response to this question, Akpolat stated that he did not individually review the personnel sent by the directorates and deemed appropriate, and that he only approved them without looking at their resumes.

According to Halk TV, the second question directed to Akpolat by the prosecutor's office was about a real estate belonging to BELTAŞ A.Ş., which was claimed to have been sold for 460 million TL to a company allegedly connected to Aziz İhsan Aktaş, instead of the required 580 million TL. Akpolat responded to this question as follows: "Our friends prepared an evaluation report regarding this real estate in February. This result was below 460 million TL. So I was happy because it was sold for more than its value."

"DO YOU KNOW AZIZ İHSAN AKTAŞ?"

In the third question, the prosecutor asked Akpolat whether the vehicles belonging to his company were sold above the insurance price to companies owned by Aktaş. Akpolat stated that the company's operations continued through managers and that he did not directly involve himself in company affairs due to his position as mayor.
