Singer and actress Gülben Ergen was called to testify within the scope of investigation number 2025/284884 conducted by the Terrorism Financing and Money Laundering Crimes Investigation Bureau of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Ergen's testimony, which began at 10:25 on July 28, 2026, ended at 11:00. She was questioned about her relationships with Haluk Levent and Oğuzhan Uğur, her aid activities during the earthquake period, her donations to the Ahbap Association, and the aid concerts she attended.

Ergen stated that she had no prior acquaintance with Haluk Levent and Oğuzhan Uğur before the February 6 earthquakes.

MADE DONATIONS TO AHBAP FROM HER PERSONAL ACCOUNT

Ergen, who stated that she is the founder and president of the Association for the Sake of Children Smiling, explained that they built 17 schools in 11 provinces after the February 6 earthquakes.

Stating that during the earthquake period, she sent aid of various amounts to the Ahbap Association from her personal account, in addition to AFAD and the Red Crescent, Ergen said that she tagged all institutions and organizations in her social media posts.

Ergen argued that she did not make any specific direction to the Ahbap Association and stated that she generally supported aid campaigns.

"I HAVE NO CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH HALUK LEVENT"

Gülben Ergen stated that she did not direct any questions to the Ahbap Association after the donations she sent from her personal account, saying, "I did not make any personal inquiries. I also did not conduct any audits in this regard. I did not do any research."

Ergen expressed that she only met Haluk Levent on the occasion of a free concert organized during the earthquake period, and that otherwise, she had no meetings or familiarity. Ergen also stated that she met Oğuzhan Uğur after the earthquake due to participating in a program on violence against women and child abuse, and noted that she had no other relationship with Uğur.

Ergen, who said she had no knowledge before the investigation about how the aid collected at the Ahbap Association was used, stated that she did not know that Haluk Levent could use the aid for purposes other than intended.

Ergen also stated that if she had such information, she would have made the necessary applications and warnings to those responsible.

"I FEEL MORALLY DISTURBED AND VICTIMIZED"

Ergen stated that she did not support donation campaigns during live broadcasts in the earthquake period by calling in or participating in the broadcast. Arguing that there was no situation requiring her to apologize for this, Ergen stated that she was sorry for the aid she sent from her own account to the Ahbap Association.

Expressing that the claims that the collected aid was used for purposes other than intended disturbed her, Ergen said: "I feel morally disturbed and victimized." Ergen also reported that she reserved the right to file a complaint regarding the donations she sent to the Ahbap Association.
