It has been revealed that Turan Yıldırım, one of the key figures of the Sarallar crime organization, fled to Greece with the help of M.D.K., the Director of the Edirne Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, and Kenan Koçak, the contractor husband of famous singer Merve Özbey. The statement of Koçak, who was arrested along with Özbey and five others as part of the investigation, has come to light.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues its investigation into 7 suspects regarding the allegation that Turan Yıldırım, who has an arrest warrant against him within the scope of the Sarallar Criminal Organization, was helped to escape abroad.

MERVE ÖZBEY'S HUSBAND KENAN KOÇAK'S STATEMENT REVEALED

The statement given by famous singer Merve Özbey's contractor husband Kenan Koçak, who was arrested as part of the investigation, has emerged. In his statement, Koçak claimed that he spoke with his childhood friend, suspect Ener Aktaş, on the evening of January 14, and due to his distress over family health issues, Aktaş offered him a two-day trip to Greece, which he accepted. He stated that he went to Aktaş's house on January 15 and encountered Turan Yıldırım, whom he knew as a result of the investigation. Koçak recounted that after a while, when they went down to the garden of the site, they encountered M.D.K., the Director of Edirne Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, whom he knew beforehand, and claimed that he did not know M.D.K. would come to them. He mentioned that they set off towards Edirne with two vehicles, and on the way, they switched to Ener Aktaş's vehicle along with Turan Yıldırım, and he started driving the car. Koçak stated that they arrived at the İpsala Border Gate this way, where the suspect M.D.K. allegedly separated from them.

Suspect Koçak continued in his statement: "When we arrived at the İpsala Land Border Gate, Ener told me that I needed to pull the vehicle to the far left. After parking the vehicle far left in front of the border gate, I got out of the car with my passport. I heard Ener telling Turan to prepare his documents. However, I do not know if he gave his documents afterward. I went to the restroom and completed the exit procedures with the police there, followed by the customs officer. During this process, I did not see Ener next to me. After my process was completed, I encountered Ener. He told me, 'Our procedures are also finished.' After that, we got into the car and exited through the border gate with me driving. There was no control or anything while exiting the vehicle. About 2 minutes later, we arrived at the Greek border. There, Turan, Ener, and I presented our passports. The Greek officer said there was a loss note on Turan's passport, and they did not let Turan enter Greece. Ener and I entered Greece. I do not know if Turan entered Greece."

INCONSISTENCIES IN THE STATEMENT WERE ALSO QUESTIONED

Koçak was asked about the inconsistencies in his statement. It was pointed out that while Koçak claimed he did not know suspect V.G., the statements of the other suspects were the exact opposite, and that the camera footage at the border gate showed him with V.G., and he was asked to explain this situation. Koçak insisted that he did not know V.G. He was also asked about the footage showing that he got out of the vehicle before the border gate and encountered Aktaş after completing his procedures, despite his claim.

Koçak said: "I remember getting out first. I also did not witness Commissioner V.G. and Director M.D.K. talking on the phone. Again, the person I mentioned earlier, İshak A., was not with us at the border gate. I saw him in the area before coming to the Greek border after crossing the Turkish border. I do not remember seeing İshak A. in the building at the İpsala Border Gate."
