In an operation carried out at a detached house where two brothers live in Adana, 13 unlicensed firearms were seized. The detained brothers stated in their testimonies, "We were shocked when we saw the weapons."
In the Seyhan district of Adana, the teams of the District Police Department's Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau obtained information that there were unlicensed firearms in the detached house of Mehmet D. (49) and his brother Şerif D. (42). Following this information, the teams conducted an operation at the brothers' residence.
A CACHE WAS FOUND IN THE HOUSE
Inside a suitcase located in the stairwell of the detached house, 11 unlicensed handguns, 1 shotgun, 3 barrel-less handguns, 2 handgun frames, 34 magazines, 14 handgun parts, and a bulletproof vest were seized. Mehmet D. and Şerif D. were detained in connection with the incident.
"WE WERE SHOCKED TO SEE IT"
It was learned that Mehmet D., one of the brothers who gave statements at the police station, said, "I work in a hotel in Manavgat, I just arrived in Adana. I was shocked to see the gun come out of the suitcase," while Şerif D. stated, "I have no involvement in this matter at all, I was shocked to see the police pull out the gun, the guns are not ours."
THEY WERE ARRESTED
After their procedures at the police station, Mehmet D. and Şerif D. were arrested by the court to which they were referred.
