The statement of Ali Bacak, who took the life of his 42-year-old wife Sermin Bacak in the early hours of International Women's Day on March 8 in the Kavaklıdere district of Muğla, has emerged. The suspect husband, who tried to portray the fight that resulted in his wife's death as an "intervention," made a defense that left people speechless, saying, "The knife was in her hand, it suddenly stabbed while I was trying to take it."
Details have emerged in the murder of Sermin Bacak, who was taken from life by her husband in the early hours of March 8, International Women's Day, in the Kavaklıdere district of Muğla. The detained husband, Ali Bacak, claimed that the incident was an "accident."
THE DISPUTE THAT STARTED AT MIDNIGHT ENDED IN DEATH
The incident occurred around 1:00 AM in the Çamlıbel neighborhood. The verbal argument that started between Ali Bacak and his 42-year-old wife, Sermin Bacak, quickly escalated into violence. The unfortunate woman, who was seriously injured in the left chest during the struggle, could not be saved despite all the efforts of the doctors at Kavaklıdere State Hospital.

The first statement of Ali Bacak, who was detained by the gendarmerie teams, was shocking. The suspect, who claimed that he did not intentionally kill his wife, resorted to the following words in his statement:
"Sermin had a knife in her hand. I wanted to take it from her. At that moment, the knife suddenly stabbed under her chest."
